Out on the path…. Agios Nikolaos Monastery to Achla Beach!
Another beautiful day out with 26 people joining up for the 10th maintenance hike of 2018 on Route 6 from Agios Nikolaos Monastery to Achla Beach.
Old and new friends gathered from Pisolimionas, Agios Petros, Katakilos, Batsi, Aprovato, Chora, Katakalei, Vourkoti, Kochylou and we set out on our journey from Agios Nikolaos Monastery into a mixture of wind and fog! As we walked we cut back vegetation and returned fallen stones back to the walls. As we reached the beach the clouds thinned and the sun was revealed….Several of us dared to dive into the waves of the stunning Achla beach, while others explored the Achla river and the wetland admiring a pair of swans …
The day was completed a little extra walking to arrive at a delicious meal.
