On Sunday March 3rd 2024, the 5th maintenance hike of the year took place in the circular route of Aprovatou. Starting from the restaurant Balcony of the Aegean, we went through the terraces at the top of Aprovatou to the water spring of Agios Dimitrios. We continued the descent towards the Koutsi settlement until the homonymous beach. After a break, we followed the route up to the Aegean balcony. It is a route with significant altitude differences and a significant diversity of landscapes that offers great satisfaction.

The weather was sunny 16⁰C with no wind, nature had an image of an advanced spring, the flocks of sheep full of babies and the view to the Aegean unobstructed.

The team had 10 participants and was quite international: it included people from Greece, The Netherlands, Spain, Asia. Almost everyone came equipped ςιτη τοολσ for a maintenance hike and we worked systematically. We picked up litter, cleared vegetation and made a few corrections to the signs.
