Rubble thrown on route No 3 – Report damage

In the context of the actions of the Andros Routes project, designed and managed by our organization, which aims to preserve and highlight the paths of Andros in accordance with European standards, we have been forced in recent years, as long as interventions or damage to the paths and their wider area are found , to proceed with reports to the Administration.

In the last few days, our volunteer Route Angel Antonis Spertos found that on hiking route No 3, in Dipotamata, there is repeated dumping of waste from construction excavations and demolitions (rubble). With the cooperation of our volunteer legal advisor, Mrs. Maria Kyriazi, we sent the following report to the relevant bodies.

Throwing rubble destroys the beauties and heritage of Andros, thus the basic resources for the well-being of the island’s inhabitants and affects the image of Andros to visitors.

We await the response and the corrective actions of the Municipality and the District of Andros.
