On Saturday 29 October we hike on the wonderful route Vourkoti-Katakalaioi-Pythara-Apoikia-Chora!
A passable route. Path no 2, characteristic for the landscape and flora of Andros, starts from the mountainous village of Vourkoti, passes through the remote village of Katakalaioi and reaches Apoikia and Chora.
The magnificent views from high above in Vourkoti, the stone-paved sections, the waters and the springs that we encounter along the way, make this route another wonderful exploration into the remarkable diversity of landscapes and ecosystems, as well as the longstanding agricultural tradition of Andros.
Difficulty level: medium. Distance : about 6.8 km or 7.8 km including the detour no 2a to the waterfalls of Pythara.
