Irini Drakos

I come from the United States but my family origin comes from Andros from the two villages of Korthi and Piso Meria. I was born and raised in the US; however, I would spend every summer holiday on Andros from childhood to adulthood before moving permanently to Andros. I studied Spanish philology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and I am currently working in the domain of hospitality and tourism. Ever since I joined Andros Routes, I have seen that they have the island’s best interest and want to do good for the island in addition to the rest of the community. I feel as though that living on Andros and especially being a part of Andros Routes has taught me many new things that I’ve never learned before and it always made me think of the philosophy “You Learn Something New Every day.” I really think that Andros is a very beautiful island with many beautiful natural paths and places that are worth seeing and discovering.
